The 3rd International Symposium on City Planning and Environmental Management in Asian Countries is over. We would like to thank all participants. The 3rd International Symposium on City Planning and Environmental Management in Asian Countries was held January 12-14, 2002 on the campus of the Yamaguchi University at Ube city in Japan. The main theme of the symposium is "A Compact City". The symposium themes include Landscape Design, Land Use Planning, Planning Support Systems, Developing Countries, and etc. The aim of the symposium is to communicate with the researchers who are concerned with city planning or environmental management for Asian countries.
